i listened to her describe the pain, the multiple visits to the hospital and as we shared a bowl of edamame, i was struck by their chemistry. jason is strong. he’s been through a lot in his life, as has jen. together they know the pain life can bring, the unexpectedness of it all and how God’s hand truly guides and protects them through it all. jen explained her upcoming surgery which caused their wedding to be pushed up by five months and i couldn’t grasp her calmness about it all, jason’s acceptance and support, there was no fear, no irritation, no frustration…just an overwhelming peace. i was captivated.
