I’ve been thinking a lot about love lately. Not the doe eyed infatuation of a blissful first time love but the enduring selfless covenant love that flows from a devoted heart that is completely wrapped up in the others needs and desires and happiness and joy. It seems as if more and more, the world discounts love. It seems as if more and more, love is fleeting. Discouraged and beaten down, I find myself often looking at the world around me with a pain filled longing. The world around us is searching for love….the sky around us is falling, words mean less and less and devotion only lasts when it suits us. The world and its definition of love, hope and truth is failing. But Love is ALIVE. Love is Truth. Love is Life. Love, Jesus Christ is reaching out with open arms and HE never fails.
