the two swayed on the dance floor. they giggled and made silly faces at one another, just waiting for the song to stop. they seemed incapable of standing still for fear their joy might cause them to explode. they were married…the thing they had so longed for and waited for and they had it in full. there they stood, husband and wife. the two had become one, crafted together in love, in tenderness and in faith.
marilyn and josh poured all that they are into the wedding. they found ways of making the day a perfect declaration of just how much they love not only each other but the people around them, their friends and family that helped to bring them to the edge of their forever together. the little notes scattered across the table made my heart smile – you know, if a heart could smile. how sweet to hear the words from the one that you love: “i love the way you feel, the way you smell and the way you look every time i see you”. i looked up at andrew as he smiled and gave my hand a squeeze as he passed, knowing i’m totally one to fall for beautifully woven words.
as the music continued during that first dance, i watched as marilyn’s veil swayed. it had to be you, wonderful you. it had to be you. i finally found someone that could make me true. it had to be you, wonderful you. josh’s arm pulled marilyn tight as they couldnt keep the joy from their faces. they’d found their true and wonderful love and i’m fairly positive, if two hearts could smile, theirs most certainly did.
