jasmine star restart

you know that moment when you realize that you’re sort of stuck? it’s usually that moment when you feel like a spinning top about to topple over on it’s side. you’re doing all that you can to keep yourself spinning but it seems like the more you try, the faster you seem to fall. that moment is a bit familiar to me. i’m struggling to pull myself upright. it seems almost lazy to admit it, like i’m failing by asking for help, but i want someone to help pick me up, to show me the way and set me off in the right direction. i just want someone to point the way, someone to wave a light and say “here’s where you need to be, here’s how you can grow”.

jasmine star has once again offered an amazing opportunity to photographers who feel like they’re struggling, like they just want to start over. it amazes me how she can put herself on video so often because it was a completely strange thing to do.  “you have plenty of courage, i am sure…all you need is confidence in yourself.” so here is to courage, and in finding confidence in myself because regardless of the outcome of whether or not i am selected, there’s going to be a restart…i’m going to find my way to greater things.
