every now and again i have the worlds most bizarre dream. okay, so i know i cant realistically claim that one. i mean who can say “i had the worlds most bizarre dream” and actually live up to it. i doubt there’s a club or a voting committee that sits around and listens to people re-account their dreams and then takes a vote. although, i’m pretty sure if jlo, steven tyler, and randy jackson were paying attention to my dreams the other day, I would have had that golden ticket to winnersville. just sayin…
if you follow me on facebook or twitter you might have noticed that i was super sick these past couple of days. which for me, this is surprising because the probability of me getting sick is like slim to none. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been sick in the past five years. oddly, being sick equates to not getting out of bed which equates to some super bizarre dreams. usually I keep my mouth shut about my dreams…especially with andrew. not for his benefit mind you but to spare myself from the look. oh yes internet, the look. the look i get when i’m about half way through explaining my dream. the look that says “you. are. crazy.” it usually starts in his left eye…it’ll twitch a little and then his eyebrows will start to lift just a tad. then that reassuring smile that is totally fake will start to make it’s appearance. it’s the look you’d give to some random old woman in a blue fur coat trying to tell you that she just ran over a baby panda bear with her walker. it’s the “that’s nice, but get away from me” look. i dont enjoy that look.
i suppose i can understand it…a teenie tiny bit. you know, why i get the look for some things. but only just a tiny bit. but really…are these things really really that crazy?
- i have to write with the same pen, which is why i have about three fine tip RSVP pens floating around my purse…and maybe seven on my desk.
- andrew is not allowed to write on my calendars, the handwriting has to be the same or i’ll go buy a new one and start all over…you think i kid but i’m dead serious.
- i write things on my to do list that i’ve already done just so i can cross them off.
- nearly everything in my house has a home. if it’s not in it’s home, i think my house is a crazy mess and will stay up till midnight making sure it’s clean. or, i have dreams involving filing cabinets and white dust examining gloves.
- i like odd numbers. even numbers make me feel out of balance because it’s just too symmetrical and i dont know what to do with them. i’m getting a little itchy just thinking about how to position an even number of items.
- i tie straw wrappers in knots over and over again to make the trash pile pretty for the waiter.
- i’ll make the bed right before it’s time to crawl into bed so it looks like it’s brand new.
and these are just the ones i can think of off the top of my head and not counting the looks i’m pretty certain he gives behind my back. really internet, i swear i’m not ocd…that i know of but really, the look?!
dwell in possibility…

Oh my gosh I totally do the calendar thing AND the to do list thing. Yay for organization and efficiency!
