it was fate, some would say. but the two of them, they would say that it was the totality of God’s amazing plan that brought the two of them together. marilyn fluffed her hair and adjusted her outfit as she told her friend that today was the day, today was the day she would meet her husband to be.
their story involves a perfection in timing. unbeknownst to marilyn, josh feverishly organized the best most appropriate time to ask. he didnt want to sound desperate or over eager but he didnt want to ask too late and risk her making other plans. somewhere between monday and thursday there was the perfect window in which to ask her out, and he was determined to find it.
i know at times it sounds cliche, but the more and more i see couples truly in love and get the chance to really get to know them in front of my camera, the more i’m amazed at how God pairs together the perfect balance in a marriage. granted, much of that balance is learned as the marriage progresses but it still leaves me in awe of Christ when i see the love and care he takes in bringing two people who love Him together. as i watched marilyn and josh, that balance they brought to one another was so unmistakable that i remembered something josh had said about their first date. “before the date was even over she asked ‘so what are we doing next weekend’, i just looked at her with a smile and said ‘i dont know, this dates not over yet’.” that’s how they are, a perfect fit for one another crafted together with just the right amount of balance for the other. marilyn jumps from one idea to the next, her excitement and joy for life radiating from her – her vigor for life is infectious. and there josh stands, holding her hand, laughing, making faces, and reminding her that this date isnt over yet.
dwell in possibility…
