Another year gone by. In my decision not to create my usual list of goals for 2014, looking back at 2013 became an entirely different process. Instead of the usual emotions of frantic preparation, slight disappointment and an oddly exhausted excitement, looking back was nothing more than that, looking back at the year. While I’m not certain that I won’t create goals in the years to come, I am totally loving the peace that’s coming from just being still and the rest that I’m finding.
Andrew and I have this tradition throughout the photography year that we take photos of each other working behind the lens. While some of it is with the purpose of having photos of us working for website use and things like that, it’s also a way we try to get the most embarrassing photo of one another. If we’re keeping count {which I totally am} I think I’m still winning…So! Let’s look back shall we? Year one, year two, year three aaaaaand drum roll please….2013!!

That one time when I hid out behind the DJ booth to catch a breather and prevent a migraine…and got caught!

Some of the absolute best second shooters around!

Certain little ones especially love to follow Andrew around. It may have to do with his ability to pick blackberries for them.

Yea, that’s a super awkward pose…

The things we short photographers do to get some ups for a photo.

That time Andrew caught me nearly ready to bawl my eyes out during the bride’s dance with her father. I can’t help it! It gets me every.single.time!

This is the year in which I totally realized, Andrew and I need a whole new set of clothes for weddings…cause seriously, I think we’ve been wearing the same clothes to weddings for the past three years. And plus, well, no…no plus, who needs an excuse to spend some money on clothes!!
I don’t even know what’s happening in this photo. Why is he holding two business cards? Why is he trying to look like a French model?
