Sunsets have always captivated me. Coloring the sky with wisps of colors, it’s as if you’re watching the Creator paint a masterpiece. It’s stunning – the way they’re never the same from day to day, the way the change in seconds, the way your eye perceives the colors in a way no camera can replicate…captivating, stunning, beautiful the words don’t seem like praise enough for the incredible talent put on display across the skies.
There have been two sunsets to date that are engraved in my mind as magnificently, show stoppingly beautiful. Katey and Kyle’s engagement session in Seaside held one of them. Have you ever seen a sunset that was so vibrant that it reflected an array of pastel’s off the clouds and down to the ground before it? Have you eyes ever taken in a sky on fire behind a mass of clouds before you and the most beautiful purple glow behind you? The sky that evening was so unique I struggled to capture it. The light danced in a way that my settings and camera manipulation just fell short. The human eye is amazing that way…allowing us to see something just once, experiencing it in a way we never will again.
“Look at that sunset, Truman. It’s perfect….that’s the Big Guy. Quite a paint brush He’s got.” – Marlon, The Truman Show
